The short version: PassPath is an independent study planner. It helps you organise revision — it can't promise you a pass.
Use it for your own study, don't rely on it as your only record, and check that your study materials match your exam sitting. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected by anything below.
These terms cover your use of the PassPath iPhone app and the passpath.io website. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
PassPath is published by Brendan Rice, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). You can reach us at [email protected].
The service
PassPath is a study-planning tool that generates suggested schedules and tracks your progress for ACCA exams. It is provided to help you organise your revision. The app currently contains no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Any download price is displayed by Apple before you install.
PassPath is a planning and coaching aid. It works alongside the materials from your tuition provider — it does not replace them, and its starter concept drills do not replace full tuition, the official syllabus or a complete question bank.
Not affiliated with ACCA
PassPath is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). "ACCA" and the paper names are referenced only to describe the exams the app helps you study for. PassPath’s planning priorities are editorial allocations, not official mark weightings. Syllabuses and exam arrangements change — always check the current official syllabus with ACCA.
No guarantee of results
PassPath helps you plan and stay consistent, but it can't sit the exam for you. We make no guarantee that using the app will result in a pass or any particular grade. Study plans, readiness scores and predictions are estimates to guide your effort, not promises of an outcome.
App updates
The app may receive updates to improve reliability, content and features.
Your plan lives on your device and we hold no backup of it. Export a backup from Settings → Your data if losing it would hurt, and don't treat the app as your only record of your study schedule.
Your responsibilities
- Use the app for its intended purpose — planning and tracking your own study.
- Keep your device and its software reasonably up to date so the app runs as intended.
- Don't attempt to break, reverse-engineer, or misuse the app or its distribution.
Price and future paid features
Any future paid feature will show its price and applicable terms before purchase. This version contains no subscription or in-app purchase flow.
Intellectual property
The PassPath name, design and app content are owned by us. These terms don't transfer any ownership to you; you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on a device you own or control. The study data you create in the app is yours.
Ending your use
You can stop using PassPath at any time by deleting the app — local app storage is removed, but exported files, calendar copies and device backups need to be managed separately.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PassPath is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including missed study, lost data, or exam outcomes.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you're using PassPath as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you keep the protection of your local mandatory consumer law.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app develops. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. The "last updated" date above shows when they last changed.
